Who we are
Quiz Night (quiznight.d9.army and the Quiz Night iOS app) is run by VR Express OOD, Bulgaria, the controller of the data below. Contact: ilian@vrexpress.io.
Playing without an account
Solo, the Daily Challenge, duels and joining a party need no account. The name and character you pick are shown to the other players in that duel or room, and your answers and scores are stored to run the game and its results.
Stored on your device
Your name, character, language, sound setting, Daily streak and the questions you have already seen are kept in your browser or on your phone, not on our servers. Clearing site data or deleting the app removes them.
Usage statistics
We count events such as "solo game finished" with the map, mode, language and a random ID that lasts for one browser session. No names, IP addresses, advertising IDs or third-party analytics are used, and there are no ads. For each browser session we also keep the campaign tag of your first visit (for example utm_source=reddit) and the site that linked you, to see which channels bring players.
Security
To stop abuse we rate-limit requests. For this we store only a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
Accounts (hosting and question packs)
Hosting a party or making question packs needs an account. We store your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name on that account (Apple lets you hide your real email), plus the packs and worlds you create and their settings. Packs you share to Community are public: anyone can play them and report them, and we hide reported packs and block accounts that abuse this. Files or text you give us to generate a pack are sent to an AI provider to write the questions. In the iOS app, Google and Apple sign-in run in Apple's secure sign-in sheet; email links open in Safari.
Quiz Night for Teams
If you fill in the Teams form we store your work email, company name and team size, only to contact you about the Teams plan, with your consent.
iOS app
The iOS app adds Apple Game Center for the Daily leaderboard (handled by Apple under its own terms if you sign in to Game Center) and an optional daily reminder that is scheduled on your phone. The app itself collects nothing beyond what is described here.
Who processes the data
Hosting and database: Lovable Cloud (Supabase) and Cloudflare. Sign-in: Google or Apple, if you choose them. Pack generation: an AI provider through the Lovable AI gateway. Leaderboards in the iOS app: Apple Game Center.
How long we keep it
Game, duel and room data is kept for as long as needed to run the game and its statistics. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Teams form data is deleted when you withdraw your consent.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it (you can delete your whole account yourself on quiznight.d9.army/account) or to object to its use: write to ilian@vrexpress.io and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
Children
Quiz Night is a general-audience game. Accounts are meant for adults who host games; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
